These are popular neighborhoods for tourists that provide a range of tourist attractions and amenities. OTHER: We appreciated free late check-out at 1:00 PM.The best areas to stay in Kansas City for first-timers are Downtown, Country Club District, Midtown-Westport, Independence, Village West, and Worlds of Fun. No complimentary parking however, there is a covered garage behind the hotel that cost $18/24h. LOCATION/PARKING: Excellent downtown location within walking distance of activities & restaurants. CUSTOMER SERVICE: Quick to respond to emails pleasant in-person. The food was delicious & delivered quickly. WiFi: Did not use BREAKFAST: No complimentary breakfast provided however, we did order brunch from Dott Boss.View: Cool city view from our corner room. However, the A/C was fairly loud, & you can hear housecleaning vacuuming in the morning. Heating/cooling: Room temp stayed comfortable.Decor: Super cool décor! Loved the accent wall.Bath: Plenty of hot water & decent pressure.Amenities: Keurig, mini refrigerator would have liked a microwave to warm up food.We booked a 1 King Bed Standard & were upgraded to a 1 King Bed Premium, room 902. ROOM: As a Spire Elite member, I also requested a complimentary room upgrade. We received two free bottled waters as part of my welcome amenity. Either you pay $28+tip per day for a valet to park your car, or you walk two blocks away to self park for $10/day. Also, even though it was freezing temperatures outside at night, we had to have the AC on in the room or it would get too hot. The TV in our room did not work very well. The hotel is easy walking distance to the Power & light District, also walkable to the Art District a bit further. ![]() There is a restaurant and bar here though which we only used for breakfast. The lobby here is very small and compact. We enjoyed our stay, nice room, large enough and clean. Why? Little did I know that the college basketball tournament was in town at the T-Mobile Center about 5 blocks away. I wanted to book a 3rd night but the hotel was completely full on March 9. Visiting Kansas City this was the best place for the price I could find downtown.
